Lily_Morrison - 19.01.2016 00:39There are 12.500 adult tickets and 5.500 student tickets sold. Adult ticket = $7 Students ticket = $5 Number of tickets = 18.000 Total ticket sales = $115.000 number of Adult tickets = x number of Student's tickets = 18.000 - x 7x + 5(18.000-x) = 115.000 7x + 90.000 - 5x = 115.000 7x - 5x = 115.000 - 90.000 2x = 25.000 x = 12.500 adult tickets. Student's tickets = 18.000 - x = 18.000 - 12.500 = 5.500 To check: 7x + 5(18.000 - x) = 115.000 7(12.500) + 5(5.500) = 115.000 87.500 + 27.500 = 115.000 115.000= 115.000
