Olivia - 18.01.2016 02:26When the two forces are acting in one direction, then resultant of the two vectors will be at a maximum, and it'll be at minimum if two forces are acting in the opposite direction The minimal value of the force will be either 9 Newton or -9 N. It is the simplest way to prove and explain the situation under which the resultant of the two vectors will be at a minimum. The situation under which the resultant of the two vectors will be maximum is when the two forces of 12N and 3n will act in the same direction and create a combines force of 15N.
