Alex - 22.01.2016 15:27Given: initial deposit = 30 total deposit = 90 w = weekly deposit x = no. of weeks = 6 weeks y = amount in dollars 30 + 6w = 90 30 + 6w = 90 6w = 90 - 30 6w = 60 w = 60/6 w = $10 weekly deposit. y = $30 + $10x x = (y - 30)/10 To check: y = 30 + 12*(5) y = 30 + 60 y = 90 total deposit in 5 weeks x = (90-30)/10 x = 60/10 x = 6 weeks
