But generally, if you are being asked for the multiples of a number, you are being asked for a list of products obtained by multiplying 1, then 2, then 3 (and so on) by the original number. So, for number 4 the first six multiples would be 4*1=4, 4*2=8, 4*3=12, 4*4=16, 4*5=20, 4*6=24
